Air Pollution - An Invisible Crisis - Out of sight, Out of mind?
Air Pollution has been a big issue for years, Air Quality in areas like, London, Beijing and Paris have reached CRISIS levels since records began, It's only now that we are aware of this issue.
Until Now in Britain Coal was the biggest cause of air pollution, One Infamous example of this is the Great London of 1952. A Damaging result of power stations burning coal for the winter for electricity. Thousands died as a result. In Britain, That sort of air pollution is long gone, But air pollution has not gone away, it has just become invisible, but it is also becoming harder to ignore!
China still uses coal for its power stations and it rated as was the most polluted country in the world by TIME Magazine in 2007.
Paris's smog was so bad, It enforced a driving ban. Common Sense tells us that it was not enough to improve air quality!
Common Sense tells us what we really need is efficient solutions, Better Transport, Renewable Energy, Fuel Efficient, Electric or Modern Hybrid cars.
